Abstract
Le scepticisme de la Russie devant les soulèvements arabes aurait pu faire craindre un nouvel éloignement entre Moscou et ses partenaires moyen-orientaux après ceux consécutifs à l’invasion de l’Afghanistan et à la chute de l’urss. Au contraire, la crise syrienne, après la déconvenue libyenne, a permis à la Russie de jouer un rôle incontournable. Cela traduit évidemment une évolution dans la conception de la sécurité du territoire russe lui-même. Depuis le début du conflit, et cela explique une acception plus large de la notion de « terrorisme », la Russie affirme défendre avant tout l’État. Le délitement de l’État est synonyme pour Moscou d’autoroutes pour un djihad transnational subi aussi bien à l’extérieur de ses frontières (Afghanistan) qu’à l’intérieur de celles-ci (Tchétchénie).
