Yveline Côté, tout en rappelant que la notion de communication, ces dernières années, a été largement galvaudée, en présente, dans un premier temps, une définition, en dégage ses composantes ainsi que les conditions qui lui permettent de retrouver sa signification sociale. Dans un second temps, en l’appliquant au champ scolaire en particulier, l’auteur montre comment l’école aux prises avec les problèmes des cultures différentes et différenciées peut trouver là une chance de renouvellement si elle prend connaissance des règles de la communication sociale.
