Abstract
Ce rapport propose d’abord de realiser un consensus regional dans la population, de concert avec tous les acteurs socioeconomiques, et de bâtir un leadership politique pour aller de l’avant. Le plan d’action global que nous suggerons a la collectivite montrealaise pourrait permettre de passer a un modele misant davantage sur les modes alternatifs et, pour ce faire, d’ameliorer l’acces au transport en commun et aux modes de transport actif que sont la marche et le velo, au benefice de tous les Montrealais. La Direction de sante publique de Montreal se fonde sur son mandat et son expertise en prevention et en connaissance-surveillance afin de soutenir le virage vers le transport durable et offre son appui aux diverses instances qui ont la responsabilite politique et administrative de planifier la ville pour demain.
