Abstract
La Radio-Télévision belge a inauguré en 1975 un programme dans lequel elle permet à des groupes, même informels, de s’exprimer librement, en leur fournissant les moyens et l’aide technique, sans cependant intervenir sur le contenu du programme. Que s’est-il passé alors ? On constate pour l’essentiel beaucoup de mimétisme des émissions courantes de télévision de la part des soixante groupes qui ont eu l’occasion de se présenter devant le grand public. Si le produit s’est souvent avéré décevant, le travail préparatoire avec les groupes a par contre été passionnant dans l’effort de clarification de ses idées pour pouvoir les exprimer devant un public hétérogène et imprécis. Les meilleures émissions ont été celles produites par des groupes qui les utilisèrent dans le cadre d’une action, tout en les destinant à un public précis. L’émission n’était plus une activité annexe, mais un moment important de l’action.
