Abstract
Nombre de discours sur le suicide sont énoncés à partir de préjugés. Le suicidant y est perçu comme un malade ou un insensé. Son geste est décrit comme un acte de folie ou de déraison. Ce faisant, on traite le suicide comme un phénomène du dehors qui ne peut nous atteindre personnellement. Cependant, un autre discours possible présente la mort volontaire comme un geste ambivalent, qui participe pleinement au paradoxe de l’existence humaine. Cet autre regard sur le suicide vient du dedans. Acte spécifiquement humain, le suicide appelle à un type d’action où l’intervenant partage avec le suicidant les interrogations et les tourments de l’existence.
