La pêche d’une naïade de la cordulie tricoteuse (Odonata : Corduliidae : Somatochlora filosa ), le 7 septembre 2016 à Sainte-Catherine-de-Hatley, en Estrie, au Québec, représente une première mention de l’espèce au Canada. Fort méconnu, l’habitat de reproduction de cette espèce est rapporté pour la deuxième fois en Amérique du Nord. La découverte inattendue de cette population relique, isolée de 575 km au nord de son aire de répartition connue, soulève un questionnement sur la composition originelle de l’odonatofaune de la sous-zone de la forêt décidue du Québec, la plus perturbée depuis la colonisation et l’exploitation du territoire par les humains pour ses ressources naturelles. De plus, la cordulie linéaire ( S. linearis ) est ramenée dans la liste des espèces d’odonates du Québec, sur la base de l’authentification du spécimen capturé en 1877 par l’abbé Léon Provancher. Trois autres espèces rhéophiles de cordulies pourraient habiter les sources et les ruisseaux forestiers du sud de la province.
