Abstract
The Quebec Gazette – La Gazette de Quebec je nejstarsim francouzským týdenikem v Severni Americe a je take nejstarsim bilingvnim, anglicko-francouzským, periodikem na světě. Prvni noviny byly vydany 21 cervna 1794 vydavately Williamem Brownem et Thomasem Gilmorem. Přinaseji politicke a ekonomicke zpravy z Evropy, Asie, Severni Ameriky a dalsich zemi. V kapitole analyzujeme několik zprav, ktere popisuji bouřlivou situaci ve středni Evropě roku 1768, dale se zmiňujeme o zemětřeseni v roce 1770 s poznamkou o Montagnes de Boheme. Zpravy typicke pro Severni Ameriku jsou zastoupeny informacemi o valce s Indiany. Pojednavame rovněž o zvlastnostech francouzskeho pravopisu použivaneho v periodiku. Na přikladech dokladame pravopisnou nejistotu, ktera se udržovala po dobu 18.stoleti. The Quebec Gazette – La Gazette de Quebec nabizel výjimecnou přiležitost udržet si vztahy s Francii po Sedmilete valce (1754-1763), kdy byli kanadsti Francouzi podřizeni britskemu zřizeni. Přinasi, jakožto autentický dokument, cenne informace o politicke, ekonomicke a sociokulturni situaci ve světe 18. stoleti. Prostřednictvim publikovaných dopisů a inzeratů jsme bezprostředně informovani o mysleni a způsobu života obyvatel Quebeku v danem obdobi.
