Kupfer steigt in den Ring: Durch direkte Umsetzung von CuCl2 mit einem fluorierten Aminoalkoholat, welches ein sekundäres und ein tertiäres Stickstoffdonoratom aufweist, erhält man den gezeigten zehnkernigen cyclischen CuII-Komplex (Cu hellblau, Cl gelb, O rot, N dunkelblau, C grau, F grün, H rosa). Faktoren, die zur Selbstanordnung dieses bislang einmaligen molekularen Rades führen, werden diskutiert.
