Abstract
Le clivage des années 60 de la gauche québécoise, qui s’exprime à la fois dans sa composante politique et sa composante contre-culturelle et alternative, maintient son impact sur l’actuel mouvement antiguerre. En effet, il est assez remarquable que cette différenciation se fasse encore sentir puisque le mouvement des années 80 est traversé à nouveau par ces mêmes tendances. Ce qui surprend aussi, c’est l’importance des effectifs provenant des nouveaux mouvements sociaux. Ce dernier trait essentiel vient donner une poussée provoquant un élargissement de la problématique et une volonté de progresser vers la réunion des diverses forces sociales progressistes qui s’engagent dans la lutte pour le désarmement et la paix. Ce texte analyse cette double dynamique et permet de mieux situer l’originalité de ce nouveau mouvement antiguerre ainsi que les éléments qui le distinguent des deux mouvements qui l’ont immédiatement précédé (le mouvement antibombe des années 50 et le mouvement contre la guerre du Vietnam des années 60 et 70).
