Abstract
L’avocat a une responsabilité et une fonction sociale essentielle. Il travaille à faire le bien et à maintenir la paix au sein du groupe. Il reconnaît mieux que d’autres les malaises et les situations injustes dans la société, en plus d’avoir concrètement la possibilité d’agir sur eux en les exposant publiquement au tribunal. L’avocat est un acteur social et la salle de cour constitue la scène sur laquelle il est appelé à se produire juridiquement. Sa performance personnalisée et prophétique s’apparente grandement à celle d’un comédien au théâtre. Affirmer ainsi qu’il peut y avoir effectivement de l’art à la barre, identifier l’avocat à un artiste ou encore assimiler la performance d’un procureur lors d’un procès à une prestation artistique permet de mieux comprendre l’importance du rôle de l’avocat dans la société. L’artiste, tout comme l’avocat, assure une communication entre les individus. Tous les deux sont libres et créatifs. Ils s’adressent à tout le monde et parlent pour tous et au nom de tous. Ils se font tribuns. Ils disent tout haut ce qui ne doit pas rester silencieux. Artiste et juriste se ressemblent et ont en commun bien plus que le même suffixe.
