Abstract
Cet article s’appuie sur une enquête par entretiens conduite auprès de parents (n = 88) à Paris et à Milan pour mettre en lumière le rôle que joue l’institution scolaire dans le processus de socialisation urbaine des enfants. En explorant le volet urbain des effets socialisateurs de l’expérience scolaire, il montre notamment comment les choix scolaires des familles constituent l’un des ressorts de la différenciation sociale de la socialisation à la ville et au quartier, contribuant en dernière analyse à produire des inégalités entre les enfants.
