Abstract
O propósito deste trabalho é descrever a expressão da terceira pessoa em algumas línguas da família Jê. Propomos uma análise, que supomos válida desde um ponto de vista diacrônico, que permite unificar uma série de fatos à primeira vista não relacionados, que ocorrem em várias línguas da família. Essa análise propõe-se como uma alternativa à análise mais difundida de alguns dos mesmos dados, baseada na noção de prefixos relacionais (Rodrigues 1990, 2010).
