Abstract
Sampah menjadi persoalan tersendiri di Jawa Tengah. Hal ini dikarenakan tiap?é?á hari?é?á ?é?áada?é?á ?é?á16.628 ?é?ámeter?é?á ?é?ákubik?é?á produksi?é?á sampah,?é?á ?é?ánamun?é?á kemampuan pengelolaan hanya ada 11.108 meter kubik. Dari sekian banyak sampah 57% di antaranya merupakan ?é?ásampah ?é?áplastik. ?é?áAdanya ?é?áperan?é?á sentral?é?á ibu?é?á rumah ?é?átangga dalam pengelolaan sampah maka pembekalan pengetahuan mengenai pengelolaan ?é?á ?é?á ?é?á sampah perlu digalakkan, termasuk bagi ibu rumah tangga di Kecamatan Bergas, Kabupaten Semarang. Berdasarkan analisis situasi maka permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra dalam ibu rumah tangga diwilayah Kecamtan Bergas Kabupaten Semarang Belum memiliki pengetahuan mengenai konsep zero waste serta minimnya ketrampilan dalam pengelolaan sampah plastik sehingga pengelolaan sampah tidak maksimal. Adapun tujuan dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah (1) Membekali pengetahuan?é?á ibu ?é?árumah ?é?átangga ?é?ámengenai ?é?ákonsep ?é?ázero ?é?áwaste yaitu ?é?ápenerapan prinsip 5R. (2) memberikan pengetahuan kepada ibu rumah tangga mengenai bahaya penggunaan sampah plastic sembarangan, (3) meningkatkan ketrampilan ibu rumah tangga mengenai pemanfaatan sampah terutama sampah plastik. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di kantor desa Bergas kidul dengan diikuti oleh perwakilan dari masing-masing desa sebanyak 32 ibu rumah tangga di wilayah kecamatan Bergas. Metode pelaksaan yaitu dengan ceramah kemudian dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan demonstrasi pemanfaatan sampah plastik. Hasil pelatihan?é?á ?é?ámenunjukkan?é?á ?é?áantusiasme ibu rumah tangga selama mengikuti pelatihan sangat bagus. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya interaksi aktif peserta pelatihan dengan penyaji selama diskusi berlangsung. Dengan pemberian contoh konkrit pemanfaatan limbah plastik diharapkan dapat menginspirasi ibu rumah tangga dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan sampah plastik yang ada di rumah masing-masing. ?é?á Kata Kunci: pengelolaan sampah plastik, konsep zero waste
