Abstract
El objetivo del presente estudio es presentar la noción de marco temporal como herramienta útil para el análisis de la interacción verbal en la conversación. Situamos la noción primero en el marco de la teoría dialógica y co-construccionista del lenguaje propuesta por Per Linell (1998), después de lo cual ilustramos su funcionalidad en ejemplos seleccionados de escenas de telenovelas mexicanas. Pasamos luego a desarrollar la noción del marco temporal en relación con las tres metafunciones semánticas de Halliday, y damos algunas precisiones sobre su estructura, antes de ponerla a prueba en el análisis de un ejemplo de conversación completamente espontánea, una discusión entre una mujer y un hombre grabada en un autobús en Ciudad de México.
