Abstract
Après avoir montré que le catholicisme a été marqué du sceau de la modernité, il s’agit tout autant de repérer les incidences d’un nouveau contexte, celui de la post-modernité, sur ce champ religieux. S’appuyant sur des enquêtes menées en Belgique au cours des dernières années, l’auteure conclut que le romantisme, la centralité du quotidien, le mixage des codes, la socialité élective et civile ainsi que le réenchantement du monde ont remplacé, au sein de groupes d’inspiration chrétienne mais désormais distants du catholicisme institutionnel, l’épopée, les lendemains qui chantent, les discours officiels, l’appartenance institutionnelle et le désenchantement du monde.
