Abstract
Au Canada, la recherche participative constitue désormais un mode privilégié par les organismes gouvernementaux pour inciter les chercheurs à travailler avec les professionnels en vue de résoudre des problématiques en éducation. Ce texte examine le travail de médiation de chercheurs engagés dans deux recherches participatives, à la phase de la définition du problème, dans la collaboration avec des professionnels. Il montre comment les conditions initiales de ces projets et les dispositifs médiateurs mis en oeuvre à cette étape concourent au rapprochement entre les deux communautés, malgré la difficulté à concilier les finalités scientifiques et pratiques dans le cadre imposé par les organismes.
