Ce volume reprend les neuf communications de la 26e conférence de la Société Prince-Albert, organisée en 2007 à Coburg et à Gotha.Cette association porte le nom de l'époux de la reine Victoria, le prince Albert de Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha (1819-1861) ; elle organise ses journées annuelles pour honorer sa mémoire et son œuvre culturelle.Le thème retenu en 2007 est particulièrement original et constitue un observatoire inédit des échanges culturels dans l'Europe des XVIIIe et XIXe s.
