Abstract

En comparant deux courts textes réflexifs sur la poésie, l’un de Jacques Brault, « Une poétique en miettes » (1981), et l’un de Jean-Marc Desgent, « Je ne reviendrai jamais du labyrinthe » (1984), il s’agira d’aborder une dynamique du vide à l’oeuvre chez les deux auteurs, mais d’un vide qui s’actualise chez le premier par la vacance (« le silence, là, s’impose — physiologiquement »), et inversement chez le deuxième par la surabondance (« chez l’être du labyrinthe, tout est masqué, retourné, traversé, symbolisé, dénaturé, transfiguré »). Les deux textes se rejoignent cependant par une esthétique de l’émiettement et par le refus de la définition du poème, deux voies menant au dénuement et à l’érotique du vide. Les deux textes datant de la même période, nous établirons des liens avec la « querelle » du « retour du religieux » — « religieux » qui sera entrevue ici sous l’angle du Jardin des délices…
