Abstract
L’intérêt d’Émile Zola pour le théâtre est constant, dans son œuvre, de Thérèse Raquin (1873) à Renée (pièce écrite en 1880, mais jouée en 1887). À la fin du xixe siècle, le théâtre joue un rôle prépondérant dans la vie littéraire et c’est par un succès dramatique que les romanciers souhaitent installer leur place dans le champ littéraire.
