Abstract
Pavimentacao Aeroportuaria e um ramo da engenharia civil muito restrito se comparado com a Pavimentacao Rodoviaria, suas normas e regulamentos em grande parte sao vindas do exterior, dos EUA e Canada, pouco material relacionado ao assunto e produzido no Brasil. Desta forma o presente artigo visa demonstrar um estudo de caso do Aeroporto Internacional de Foz do Iguacu, utilizando o metodo de dimensionamento de estruturas de pavimento aeroportuario mecanistico da Federal Aviation Organization (FAA) dos EUA, que segue as diretrizes da AC 150 / 5320-6E adotado pela International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) que se baseia no Cumulative Damage Factor (CDF) utilizando a ferramenta computacional Federal Aviation Administration Rigid and Flexible Iterative Elastic Layered Design (FAARFIELD).
