Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report a measurement of cross section $\ensuremath{\sigma}({\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}+\text{nucleus}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}+X)$ and the first measurements of the cross section $\ensuremath{\sigma}({\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}+\text{nucleus}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}+X)$ and their ratio $R(\frac{\ensuremath{\sigma}(\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}})}{\ensuremath{\sigma}(\ensuremath{\nu})})$ at (anti) neutrino energies below 1.5 GeV. We determine the single momentum bin cross section measurements, averaged over the T2K $\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}}/\ensuremath{\nu}$-flux, for the detector target material (mainly carbon, oxygen, hydrogen and copper) with phase space restricted laboratory frame kinematics of ${\ensuremath{\theta}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}<32\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$ and ${p}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}>500\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/c$. The results are $\ensuremath{\sigma}(\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}})=(0.900\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.029(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.088(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}39}$ and $\ensuremath{\sigma}(\ensuremath{\nu})=(2.41\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.022(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.231(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}39}$ in units of ${\mathrm{cm}}^{2}/\mathrm{nucleon}$ and $R(\frac{\ensuremath{\sigma}(\overline{\ensuremath{\nu}})}{\ensuremath{\sigma}(\ensuremath{\nu})})=0.373\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.012(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.015(\mathrm{syst})$.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
