Um die Ergebnisqualität in der klinischen Forschung und in der täglichen Praxis erfassen zu können, brauchen Therapeuten valide, zuverlässige und reproduzierbare Messinstrumente. Der Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) ist ein auf den Patienten bezogener Selbsteinschätzungsfragebogen und bietet die Möglichkeit, die wichtigsten und alltagsrelevanten Konsequenzen einer Arthrose zu evaluieren.
