Abstract
Esta seleccion de documentos de nuestra historia diplomatica, fue realizada sobre la base del material existente en la Seccion Guerra Europea 1914-1918 del Archivo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto. La intencion ha sido brindar una vision lo mas completa y coherente posible de los hechos mas sobresalientes del periodo, en los que fue puesta a prueba la habilidad diplomatica argentina y en los que estuvo en juego el honor nacional. Entre los temas contemplados por esta seleccion figuran los siguientes: la neutralidad, la guerra maritima y el contrabando de guerra; el fusilamiento del viceconsul argentino en Dinant, la captura del Presidente Mitre, los hundimientos de barcos y el desagravio al pabellon argentino; el caso Luxburg, las visitas de la escuadra norteamericana y del crucero ingles Glasgow y la mision Bunsen.
