Abstract

In Quebec, there are many bridges which would need to be repaired or replaced in the near future. In fact, most of these structures have already achieved there lifespan. The massive construction costs needed to repair the bridges are a burden on society. Less expensive alternatives must be applied. The use of prefabricated concrete elements are usually economical compared to cast-in-place elements like girders, piles and decks because they necessitate less on site labor, which contributes to the majority of the costs. Moreover moving fabrication in factory eliminates the risk of stopping the construction because of the weather constraints and increases the quality of the elements. This research focusses on the deck which is installed on the girders of the bridge by sections. These sections are connected by joints made of ultra-high performance fibre reinforced concrete (UHPFRC). This new type of concrete contains a high percentage of steel fibres which eliminates the brittleness of concrete and allows developing an exceptional tensile ductility. The deck panels are also made of fibre reinforced concrete which contains longer steel fibres in lower quantity.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
