Abstract
L’étude porte sur les images des Québécois qui ressortent du discours des jeunes Montréalais dont les parents sont immigrés (du Chili, de la Grèce, du Portugal et du Salvador). Ces images sont analysées à la lumière de la littérature scientifique sur l’ethnocentrisme et les stéréotypes raciaux et ethniques. Nous tenons qu’elles ne représentent pas une espèce de « racisme à l’inverse »; par contre, nous proposons qu’elles constituent une dimension d’un champ fluide d’identités ethniques, dont les paramètres sont toujours en mouvement et à l’intérieur duquel les jeunes d’origine immigrée doivent se situer.
