Cette etude met en relation les representations du politique, de la democratie participative et de l’action citoyenne a l’echelle locale sur lesquelles le discours de la « ville intelligente et numerique » de Montreal prend appui avec le contexte sociopolitique et economique contemporain marque par l’hegemonie neoliberale et l’economie du savoir du capitalisme avance. Grâce a une analyse critique du discours des acteurs politiques impliques dans la mise en place de la strategie urbaine « intelligente » de Montreal, nous mettons en evidence les processus de depolitisation a l’œuvre servant a legitimer des objectifs de promotion du territoire et de competitivite urbaine.
