L’ethos collectif des guerrilla gardeners à Montréal : entre conflictualité et inclusion

Abstract
Le mouvement de la Guerilla gardening est défini comme un « mouvement d’activisme politique, utilisant le jardinage comme moyen d’action environnementaliste » afin de créer « dans les villes des espaces communautaires conviviaux et de bousculer les limites de la propriété privée » (Wikipedia). Né à New York dans les années soixante-dix, il s’est répandu sous sa forme actuelle partout dans le monde, notamment en Amérique du Nord, se réclamant de deux textes fondateurs (Tracey 2007, Reynolds 2008). Nous analysons ici la question de l’ethos collectif auto- et hétéro-attribué dans le cadre du mouvement de la guérilla jardinière tel qu’il se manifeste à Montréal, à partir d’un corpus de travail qui se compose d’un ensemble de textes numériques (blogues, forums, pages web) autour du mouvement de la Guerrilla gardening. Notre travail se situe au croisement de l’analyse du discours et de la sociolinguistique urbaine. Nous montrons comment les notions d’identité collective et d’ethos peuvent être confrontées dans le contexte de mouvements ayant un caractère anarchique et proposons pour ceux-ci le terme de nébuleuse ethotique.
