Abstract
V uterý 25. zaři v podvecer v jednom z Domovů důchodců v kanadskem Kingstonu (Ontario) opustil tento svět profesor MUDr. Dusan E. Soudek CSc., Drh.c., jediný a stalý zahranicni dopisovatel revue Universitas. Dožil se 92 let. Jestě ve druhem cisle tohoto rocniku jsme si v rubrice Jak je to jinde ve světe se zajmem přecetli jeho posledni stať Univerzity na severoamerickem kontinentě. V tisku je jeho vůbec posledni text The Progressive Marxist Biology in Czechoslovakia ve vědeckem, rovněž brněnskem periodiku Folia Mendeliana, vydavanem jako suplement Acta Musei Moraviae. A snad je to signum nějake mysticke vazby, že pravě 24. zaři t.r. byl v Biskupskem dvoře Moravskeho muzea slavnostně položen zakladni kamen k nove budově Mendeliana. Genetik Dusan Soudek - pokud žil jestě v Brně - bydlel jen za rohem.
