Abstract
Dans les ouvrages relatifs a l?immigration, la migration accrue de travailleurs qualifies dans le monde a mene a mettre l?accent sur les couts economiques d?un echec d?integration au marche de l?emploi. On a, en revanche, moins etudie les consequences de difficultes d?emploi, comme celles liees a la surqualification, sur des aspects du bien-etre subjectif des immigrants. Malgre une surqualification pour une grande partie des immigrants, les etudes portant sur la relation entre la surqualification et la satisfaction a l?egard de la vie tendent a se concentrer sur la population generale. Ces etudes revelent une relation negative entre la surqualification et la satisfaction a l?egard de la vie. Puisque les travailleurs immigrants et ceux nes au Canada (non immigrants) peuvent vivre la surqualification differemment, il est important d?examiner cette relation dans les deux groupes. La presente etude examine, par consequent, la relation entre la surqualification et la satisfaction a l?egard de la vie chez les travailleurs immigrants et non immigrants au Canada ayant suivi des etudes universitaires. Elle tient compte, en outre, des differences de degre de surqualification pour chaque groupe.
