Abstract
L’article entend indiquer, d’abord, combien l’objectivation d’une représentation de la société est indissociable des « problèmes sociaux » au sens restreint que se pose cette société; et, simultanément, comment la constitution d’une discipline savante, la sociologie, est tout autant inséparable, malgré ses dénégations, des travaux empiriques effectués dans la tradition des « enquêtes sociales ». À partir de ces prémisses est proposée une rapide analyse de la sociologie spécialisée du social, qui aboutit à réfuter l’idée de crise à propos de cette sous-discipline.
