Abstract
Tuberculosis involving the psoas muscle is a rare medical phenomenon in the 21st century. Most bacterial infections involving the psoas muscle are caused by Staphylococcus aureus followed by Streptococcus species and Escherichia coli . An abscess in the psoas muscle is clinically difficult to diagnose without the aid of modern imaging studies. However, computed tomography (CT) imaging studies and basic histopathological methods can provide an accurate and timely diagnosis.
