Abstract
Cet article présente une recherche sur des adultes anciennement ouvrier.ère.s de l’industrie ayant vécu une reconversion professionnelle suite à un licenciement économique et qui se sont engagé.e.s vers un nouveau métier. Il rend compte de la façon dont ces personnes, contraintes de devoir abandonner un métier, perçoivent cette reconversion et construisent leur identité professionnelle. L’objectif est d’identifier l’impact de cette perception de la reconversion sur leur construction identitaire. Une enquête qualitative réalisée auprès de onze personnes a permis de modéliser les résultats autour, d’une part, de trois profils-types identitaires d’ouvrier.ère.s reconverti.e.s : être auteur.e.s, acteur.rice.s ou assujetti.e.s et d’autre part, de deux modèles-types de construction identitaire : coopérative ou conflictuelle.
