Abstract
La construction identitaire comporte une dimension spatiale importante. Cette étude fait ressortir les lieux signifiants d’adolescents néo-brunswickois et cherche à comprendre comment se construit leur identité de lieu. En utilisant une méthode originale, le parcours commenté en relation avec les histoires de vie, nous avons dégagé quatre continuums qui permettent de rendre compte des types de rapports identitaires que construisent les adolescents relativement au territoire : de l’individuel au collectif, du passé à l’avenir, de la nature au construit et de l’utilitaire à l’existentiel. Ces axes permettent mettre en rapport les composantes généralement reconnues de la construction identitaire à ses fondements territoriaux.
