Abstract
Cet article revient sur la répartition des rôles entre les Rois et les Éphètes au début de la loi de Dracon sur l’homicide par le biais du sens à donner à aitios. Dans « le fait d’être aitios », cette loi procédurale met en lumière le schème sémantique de « l’implication dans ». L’enquête passe alors à la tragédie en cherchant à montrer comment celle-ci crée différentes formes préfixées d’aitios/aitia qui lui permettent d’articuler les différentes relations des dieux et des hommes, notamment quand il est question d’homicide. Ainsi apparaissent de nouveaux sens comme « l’implication aux côtés de », « l’implication conjointe » et différentes façons de prendre part à un meurtre. Enfin, l’article suggère que la philosophie de Platon peut, au moins en partie, reposer sur une telle notion d’aitios/aitia quand elle élabore une notion de cause impliquant à la fois la combinaison et la hiérarchie entre les causes primaires et intelligentes, d’une part ; les causes secondaires ou auxiliaires, de l’autre.
