Peggy Yvonne Middleton, conocida posteriormente como Yvonne de Carlo, nacio el 1 de septiembre de 1922 en Vancouver (Canada) y su ascenso hasta el estrellato de Hollywood no se debio a la casualidad o a la suerte, sino al enorme teson y fuerza de voluntad que siempre la caracterizaron. Fue una de las reinas del Technicolor en los anos dorados de la Universal, cuyos ejecutivos encontraron en ella la perfecta sustituta de Maria Montez cuando su fama comenzaba a declinar. Su larga filmografia compuesta por mas de 70 peliculas, su genial interpretacion del personaje de la entranable Lili Munster en television y el salto a la escena de Broadway explican las razones de su bien ganado prestigio
