Why this work is in the frame

A frame that forgets how it found something cannot be audited. These are the routes that admitted this work.

No Canadian affiliation. An affiliation-only frame, the usual design, would never have seen this work. It is one of the works that make the case for inverting the frame.

Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

At the present paper the response of structural steel components under explosive loading is numerically investigated. The examined members are open steel sections under various compression loads. First the importance of the material model and its capability of taking into account the effect of high strain-rates on the flow stress of the material is studied. A series of blast experiments carried out at McMaster University in Canada is compared with similar numerical simulations with the FEM software EUROPLEXUS utilizing different material models. It is shown that comprehensive modelling can adequately reproduce the experimental data. For quantifying the influence of compression on the dynamic response of steel columns, the support rotations were used as the critical parameter. The numerical results were compared with support rotation limits proposed by various blast design manuals. This comparison provided an insight to the level of conservatism included in the manuals and highlighted possible additions that would enhance the efficiency of their proposals.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
