Feasibility of fast transmission line voltage restoration by distributed generation

Abstract
Power system security is a critical issue because modern people could not live without electricity. Thus, power system restoration after the blackout have been hot topics for many years. This paper will present the improvement of the transmission line voltage restoration process after a blackout. The power electronic converter interface (PECI) will be used to integrate the distribution generation systems to help in the fast restoration of transmission line voltage. To validate the effectiveness of this method, a Simulink simulation experiment is performed in the paper to support the proposed method. The experiment result shows that the proposed restoration method has advantages over the traditional methods.
