Abstract
Depuis plusieurs années la présence du mouvement syndical aux côtés des organisations populaires sur le terrain des conditions de vie a souvent été intermittente et n’a pas permis de déboucher sur une stratégie à long terme. Au printemps dernier le Conseil Central de Montréal de la Confédération des Syndicats Nationaux (C.S.N.) organisait un Sommet populaire pour amorcer un débat avec les organisations populaires concernant les conditions de vie et les enjeux du développement de la région métropolitaine par rapport aux perspectives d’action et de lutte qu’il serait possible de définir conjointement. Dans cette entrevue on aborde principalement les raisons qui ont motivé le Conseil Central à lancer ce sommet de même que les suites qu’il en attend.
