Abstract
Uma pesquisa-ação foi realizada com mulheres que sofrem de depressão e distúrbio de comportamento alimentar (TCA). O objetivo era proporcionar para as participantes uma melhor relação com o corpo através da prática da Ginástica Holística (GH) e identifi car os impactos possíveis sobre sua saúde mental e, mais especifi camente, sobre o TCA das mesmas. Em um primeiro momento, o resultado do estudo mostra as difi culdades que estas mulheres têm de sentir o próprio corpo. Em seguida, elas conseguem utilizar a GH como uma ferramenta a serviço do seu processo de mudança.Palavras chave - Ginástica Holística, educação somática, distúrbio do comportamento alimentar, depressão, pesquisa-ação.
