Abstract
El presente estudio corresponde a un analisis de la novela 2010: Chile en llamas del escritor chileno Dario Oses. La autora enfatiza la idea central de la utopia neoliberal en torno a la cual se construye el mundo narrativo para luego develar los mecanismos mediante los cuales se transforma en una distopia. De esta forma, la interpretacion de la obra gira en torno al riesgo de aplicar a ultranza un determinado principio y como sus efectos se pueden alejar de las predicciones anticipadas por los ideologos que lo preconizan. Se observa entonces como, en vez de lograr la anhelada libertad, el ser humano se transforma en un desecho y la globalizacion propuesta se ve trastocada en una balcanizacion del espacio politico-social. Queda entonces de manifiesto que esta vision del mundo, que resuena ostensiblemente con ciertos aspectos de la historia chilena, no admite ninguna posibilidad de supervivencia.
