Abstract
U radu se sustavno i koncizno analizira problematika nastanka požara u brodskoj strojarnici i potreba poduzimanja preventivnih mjera. U uvodnom dijelu ukazano je na opasnosti od požara u brodskoj strojarnici i na mjesta s visokim rizikom nastanka požara. Posebna pozornost je posvecena analizi godisnjeg broja požara, broju požara prema namjeni brodova i broju požara prema tonaži brodova. Također je analiziran broj požara prema starosti brodova, vremenu nastanka požara, nastanak požara za vrijeme plovidbe, boravka u luci, sidristu, brodogradilistu itd. Nakon toga analizirani su nacini otkrivanja požara i najvise rabljeni nacini gasenja požara. Dobiveni rezultati su vrlo indikartivni na osnovu kojih se predlaži preventivne mjere.
