Abstract
Global and local trend around the consumption of natural products, has benefited substantially to agriculture in general and particularly to the markets of grains and seeds, among which Quinua has a special place. This seed grown in Colombia since pre-Hispanic times and consumed by astronauts from NASA and the elite corps of the armed forces in several countries, has nutritional properties that make it stand out above all other grains and seeds for human consumption, due to their high nutritional properties, low cost and great versatility as a raw material for the manufacture of other products. All these features make Quinoa is being highly demanded today by countries such as Canada, the United States and Japan and are many other countries that are setting their sights on this product. All this, coupled with the low supply of Quinoa and its derivatives in our country, the precarious association of producers and the lack of effective channels of distribution, have led a group of businessmen formulate the present business plan for the marketing of food products based on white and red Quinoa, using the technical strengths, financial advantages and market opportunities such entrepreneurs have in the retail market and in the sector of grain production.
