Commuters’ Perception on the Quality of Pace Setter Transport Services in Ibadan Metropolis

Abstract
In this paper, commuters’ perception on the quality of Pace Setter Transport Services in Ibadan Metropolis is assessed. Multi-stage sampling was used to collect data. The study revealed that commuters who are less accessible to transport services in their neighborhood travel with Pace Setter transport and motor cycle to meet their travel demands. Majority of the commuters expressed their dissatisfaction with the operations of intra-urban mass transit operators as a result they preferred to board Pace Setter Transport. Further analysis showed that commuters’ preferred boarding Pace Setter transport referred to as ‘Ajumose buses because it is cheaper and comfortable compared to other private transport services. The study concluded that there is need to revitalize the intra- urban mass transit through training, workshops and provision of loan to the intra-urban mass transit operators to meet the increasing travel demands of urban residents.
