Mônica Prates Conrado Possui Graduação em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1990) e Doutorado em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo (2001). Atualmente é professora Associada IV da Universidade Federal do Pará atuando como docente na Graduação em Ciências Sociais, na Pós-Graduação em Sociologia e Antropologia e no Mestrado em Direitos Humanos do Curso de Pós-Graduação em Direito. Possui Pós-Doutorado em Antropologia pela Universidade de York, Toronto, Canadá. Visiting Professor at Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean - CERLAC (2014). Tem experiência na área de Sociologia, Antropologia e Direitos Humanos, trabalhando com os temas: gênero e violência, relações raciais, juventudes, gênero e sexualidade. É lider do Grupo NOSMULHERES. Pela Equidade de Gênero Etnicorracial/UFPA.
