Abstract
Après avoir présenté « l’image colorée et disparate » de l’éducation des adultes en Suisse, l’auteur rappelle quelques problèmes majeurs : concurrence, éparpillement, cloisonnement social, absence de force politique et professionnelle. Son ancrage social réel devrait être complété par une politique coopérative et prospective. Enfin il présente des pistes d’action : renforcer concrètement les possibilités d’éducation extra-scolaire; élaborer une législation permettant un apprentissage continu; améliorer la qualité professionnelle des formateurs; développer la recherche.
