Abstract
S’interrogeant sur la relation entre la réalité individuelle de l’isolement et la mesure de sa réalité collective, l’auteure explore les liens entre concept et mesure, perception et vérification, qualitatif et quantitatif. Il faut reconnaître que la mesure est à la remorque de la perception et qu’elle repose souvent sur des indicateurs simplifiés. Toutefois, la multiplication des enquêtes sociales, à la fois diversifiées et de qualité, donne accès à des outils de mesure qui permettent une plus grande finesse d’analyse et une plus grande représentativité quant aux situations réelles.
