Abstract
Jean Balsamo est professeur de littérature française du XVI e siècle à l'Université de Reims.Il est l'auteur de nombreux travaux sur les relations littéraires, savantes et artistiques franco-italiennes à la Renaissance, la culture de cour, l'histoire du livre, en particulier La Rencontre des Muses.Italianisme et anti-italianisme dans les Lettres françaises à la fin du XVI e siècle (Genève, Slatkine, 1992).Mawy Bouchard est professeure adjointe de littérature française du XVI e siècle à l'Université d'Ottawa.Elle vient tout juste de compléter un stage postdoctoral au CRRS de l'University of Toronto sur le traité poétique de Giraldi Cinzio (Discorso intorno al comporre dei romanzi).Ses recherches les plus récentes portent sur l'émergence de la poétique « romanesque » en France et en Italie et sur le rôle des femmes dans le développement de la narration moderne.Son livre intitulé Avant le roman.L'allégorie chrétienne et l'émergence de la narration française au XVI e siècle paraîtra chez Rodopi (Amsterdam) en 2005.
