Abstract
La cure psychanalytique se présente comme une pratique qui soustrait le patient au regard intériorisé des autres et lui permet de reconnaître dans ce rapport à soi purifié une volonté primitive et asociale, précédemment refoulée sous leur pression. En localisant cette théorie de la volonté primitive dans le contexte des relations où elle fut créée et utilisée, nous pouvons voir au contraire que le portrait du rapport à soi qu’elle offre ne cesse jamais d’être dépendant du monde des interactions médiatisées par les symboles. En effet, ce portrait permet d’ordonner des interactions en les situant par rapport aux significations communes caractéristiques des sociétés démocratiques contemporaines.
