Abstract
S’interroger sur une pratique médicale qui se veut alternative à l’exercice classique de la médecine... Il est en effet légitime de savoir si les alternatives souhaitées et pratiquées indiquent des ruptures ou des améliorations, à travers une approche centrée sur les rapports sociaux. En passant en revue trois types d’activités propres à une maison médicale située dans une commune ouvrière de la banlieue liégeoise, se dégage une interrogation sur la nature des rapports entre soignant et soigné, technicien de la santé et citoyen, courants minoritaire et majoritaire au niveau de la pratique médicale. Dépassant une approche limitée à l’acte médical, l’article resitue la production d’un nouveau mode de gestion de la santé par rapport à l’aide sociale et à la crise financière qui affecte les services publics. C’est sous le signe d’une économie — financière, du système d’assurance, de la confrontation — que le projet, son enjeu peuvent être resitué.
