La présente contribution se propose d’analyser la pratique notariale dans une petite communauté de la montagne vénitienne à travers les témoignages offerts par un notaire ayant exercé à Feltre de 1570 à 1609. Soumise à la Domination vénitienne au début du XVe siècle, Feltre durant toute la période moderne ne dépassa pas les 4 000 habitants dans le centre urbain et les 20 000 dans sa juridiction.
